A little help, right where you are

Let’s have a look around your garden.

Show us a few photos. We’ll help you notice what matters, choose one useful next step, and remember your garden as it grows.

How a first look works

  1. 01Show us your gardenStart with one photo that takes in as much as you can. No names, no measurements.
  2. 02Look a little closerWhen another view would help, we’ll say where to stand, what to include and why. Skip any time.
  3. 03Leave with a useful next stepOne proportionate thing to do, check or leave alone — and a garden record already taking shape.

What you leave with

Advice that starts from your own photo.

Every suggestion points back to what we actually saw, explains why it matters here, and is honest about what a photo can’t tell us. Sometimes the useful answer is “leave it be”.

Example from a first look. Your garden will differ.

Cherry tree · from photo 2Clear the fallen leaves from around the base
What I saw
A deep drift of leaves against the trunk. A few have dark spots.
Why it matters
Wet leaves held against bark keep it damp through winter. Easier to clear now than in a soggy heap later.
When
This week. Rake them clear of the trunk; about 20 minutes.

Your garden, remembered

Every visit starts where we left off.

The places and plants you show us become a record of your garden — what we noticed, what you did, and what changed. Tap anything on your photo to see its story.

  • Built as you go — you never fill in a form about your garden.
  • Spot something we missed? Mark it on the photo.
  • See your garden from above, and how the sun reaches it through the year.

A few fair questions

Do I need to know my plants?

No. We’ll suggest what things might be and only ask you to confirm when it changes the advice.

How many photos will it take?

Often one or two. We stop as soon as there’s enough to be useful, and a look never takes more than ten.

Do I have to download an app?

No. thallo.garden works in your browser, on your phone or a computer.

Got ten minutes and a phone?

That’s all a first look needs.
